Construction quality and support is poor

I’ve had my Lenovo P50 for 3 years now and have had numerous problems with the construction and quality. DO NOT let the initial impression of the laptop construction fool you. They actually feel well constructed but with even light use they suffer inexplicable problems in a variety of areas. Below is the list of my problems so far…

1) Left internal PC speaker stopped working (required sending it in to be repaired).
2) Ethernet cable got stuck in the machine, was able to free it but ended up scuffing the finish.
3) Left SHIFT key on the keyboard is not very sensitive, it does work but only with an unusual amount of pressure.
4) Crack appeared in the palm rest (required sending it in to be repaired).
5) Less than a year later another crack appeared in the palm rest (this time the machine is out of warranty). Apparently this is a problem many people have reported. It’s simply not worth dealing with again unless the crack gets so bad part of the palm rest breaks off.
6) Multiple bad pixels on the display (machine is out of warranty).

This laptop gets some moderate use but it is not a daily work machine. I’ve had countless Dell computers that have not had nearly the amount of issues this one Lenovo machine has had. In fact, all the issues I’ve ever had with Dell do not amount to the issues I’ve had with this machine and I have Dell laptops that still work that are 10+ years old!

I WILL NEVER buy another Lenovo machine again. Very low opinion of the brand and the support.
